“When you move from theory to practice you change your life.”
Hans Jakusch
A sustainable energy engineer, photographer, food coach, and yoga teacher, Hans discovered another meaning of energy-saving through yoga: learning to use energy wisely by starting from where you are.Originally a keen runner, Hans turned to yoga after a skiing injury made him rethink his approach to movement, recovery, and long-term health. What began as a personal journey led him to explore how movement, nutrition, rest, and lifestyle shape our energy, wellbeing, and quality of life.Hans has trained in Sivananda Yoga, Vinyasa Krama, Hot Yoga, and functional movement. In 2024, he qualified as a Food Coach through Germany’s Dr. Freese Akademie, a science-based and holistic training focused on nutrition, metabolism, lifestyle, and sustainable health practices. His practical and down-to-earth approach helps people build strength, flexibility, resilience, and healthy habits that support wellbeing both on and off the mat.

“Yin practice is to simply observe without judging; all our busyness and haste transformed into stillness.”
Linda De Smedt
My path is Tantra, though I have always loved exploring different yoga practices. After more than ten years of Ashtanga Yoga, I discovered Yin Yoga and immediately connected with its stillness, depth, and invitation to let go.Yin Yoga supported my recovery from a chronic back issue and a torn meniscus, but its greatest gift for me has been the journey inward. Through long-held poses and mindful awareness, Yin offers an opportunity to slow down, listen deeply, and respond to what the body needs in each moment. What I hope to share with my students is a gentle way of being present — a practice that cultivates peace, acceptance, and a sense of harmony with ourselves and the world around us.

“Yoga is an anchor — recharging the body and balancing the mind.”
Esther Verbeek
Yoga is my anchor: a place where I can reconnect with myself. It recharges my body, balances my mind, and reminds me to slow down and be present. After practicing yoga for more than ten years, I decided in 2024 to deepen my understanding through teacher training with Awake Yoga. This journey expanded my knowledge, experience, and appreciation of yoga as a practice for both body and mind.Alongside yoga, I have trained in mindfulness and value the simple but profound practice of living in the present moment. I am grateful for the beauty life has to offer and enjoy sharing practices that help others cultivate greater awareness, balance, and well-being.

“Through each practice, we learn to tune our inner instrument — finding balance, harmony, and a quiet joy within.”
Lucas Rupert
My yoga journey began with Nada Yoga — the yoga of sound — where I discovered the healing potential of vibration, silence, and presence. Over time, my path expanded to include Vinyasa Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, Yin Yoga, Power Yoga, and Yoga Nidra, each contributing to a deeper understanding of balance between movement and stillness, strength and surrender.Drawing on a background in bodywork and massage therapy, I bring a therapeutic and embodied approach to my teaching. My intention is to create a calm and supportive space where students can slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with themselves through breath, movement, sound, and stillness. For me, yoga is a return to simplicity — an opportunity to cultivate greater awareness, balance, and inner peace both on and off the mat.

“Yoga helps me bring body, breath, and mind back into balance.”
Ashley Collins
For me, yoga is where everything clicks back into place — body, breath, and mind. It is an opportunity to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with my inner compass, both on and off the mat.My journey through movement began with competitive figure skating in Toronto, Canada, and has continued through more than 18 years of yoga practice, including Vinyasa Yoga, Hot Yoga, and meditation. I completed my teacher training with Lauren Rudick of Yoga Academy International in Nicaragua and enjoy creating classes that balance strength, flow, and ease.I love helping students move with greater awareness, confidence, and connection while discovering what yoga can offer both on and beyond the mat.
Rebecca Stumpel
“We often find reasons to avoid practice, but when we begin, physical and emotional tensions can gradually start to release.”
Rebecca Stumpel
Jogging used to be my passion, but after a knee operation running was no longer an option. I tried other sports, but nothing felt quite right. Then a friend suggested I try the Original Hot Yoga. I took my first class and never looked back. For me, Hot Yoga brings focus, calm, and balance, working on both a physical and mental level. I previously struggled with arthritis-related back pain, and through regular practice my symptoms gradually disappeared.Inspired by the benefits I experienced myself, I completed a 200-hour Hot Yoga Teacher Training in 2017, followed by a 50-hour Yoga Teacher Tune-up with Natasha Gunn at Hot Yoga Eindhoven in 2019.What I love most about yoga is that it invites us to begin exactly where we are. We may find many reasons not to practice, but once we step onto the mat, we often discover greater strength, freedom, and ease than we expected.

“It’s not about being perfect or super flexible; it’s about embracing your own uniqueness and journey.”
Floor Loeber
I’ve been totally in love with yoga for 15 years now! When the pandemic hit, yoga was my rock, helping me navigate through those tough times. So, in 2020, I decided to take my passion to the next level and enrolled in a yoga teacher training. Yoga has been a game-changer for me. Since I’ve been Practicing yoga a few times a week, the chronic pain and anxiety I’ve been dealing with is much more manageable. It’s not just about the poses; it’s about appreciating and connecting with my body. I truly believe that everyone’s got a yoga body, and I try my best to spread this message in my classes. It’s not about being perfect or super flexible; it’s about embracing your own uniqueness and journey. You are so welcome to join my classes when you feel the need to create some space for yourself in mind and body.

“I am eager to share the movement, mindfulness, and joy I find in yoga and Pilates.”
Kai Rasmussen
My yoga journey began in 2014 when I returned to my hometown of Palo Alto, California, to begin a new and demanding role managing my family’s business. Through the physical and mental challenges of yoga, I found balance and calm in an otherwise busy life. From that point on, yoga became a deeply important part of my life. Soon after, I discovered Hot Pilates and trained with Kiersten Jakobsen and Mara Reinin at YogaSource Palo Alto. After nearly ten years of practice in a variety of styles, including Hot Yoga, Ashtanga, Hatha, and heated Flow classes, I decided to take the leap and become a teacher. In 2023, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at Green Yogi in Berkeley. I am grateful to share the movement, mindfulness, and joy I have found through yoga and Pilates with others.Off the mat, I enjoy cycling, running, travelling, and sharing stories.

“I feel honoured to share the many benefits of yoga with you, both on and off the mat.”
Mariangel Maldonado
I began practicing yoga to support my physical health, seeing it primarily as a form of exercise. At the time, I was in my early twenties and navigating my first experience with depression. Yoga offered me a path through that difficult period, helping me reconnect with my body and discover the importance of self-compassion, resilience, and community. As I later trained as a psychologist and psychotherapist, I became increasingly interested in yoga as part of a more holistic approach to well-being. This inspired me to deepen my practice and eventually become a yoga teacher.Today, I bring together my understanding of mental health and yoga to support students in developing greater balance, awareness, and well-being. I feel honoured to share the many benefits of yoga, both on and off the mat.

“In yoga you practice to observe your moves with curiosity, to find out what moves you”
Jitske Steenaart
Yoga to me, is to look at yourself with curiosity and without judgement. After practicing the Bikram (hot yoga) for almost eight years, I decided to deepen my knowledge and practice by doing the Teacher Training in the US with Gianna Purcell and Kathy Durham. Since then I’ve been teaching 26 + 2 classes. Even though the sequence always stays the same, no class ever is. Each class can be different, because you can feel a little different every day, which makes you move different. In my classes I want to create the space where you can observe your moves with curiosity and find out what moves you.
