INTRODUCTION TO MEDITATION
Saturday, 2 March, with Dieke.
On a donation basis as a gift from Dieke before she continues her travels, first stop Bali!
Offer what you can. Perfectly fine to come for free.
Mindfulness meditation is something that can be practiced anywhere at any time to bring you into clarity and quietness.
In this introduction, Dieke will share her practice with you, a meditation journey that has taken her to this place.
In Dieke’s words: “Meditation for me is a practice and a lifestyle. I was taught how to keep going, to set goals, to work hard. I was not taught how to be still, enjoy the quiet, accept myself. We need balance in our lives, to find moments to just be. I am happy to share my practice with you as a gift to take away.”
CREATING A HEALTHY PSOAS MUSCLE: A YIN YOGA WORKSHOP
SUNDAY, 17 March, 14.00 – 16.00
A yoga workshop specially designed to help you safely strengthen and stretch your psoas (pronounced so-as), a vital hip flexor muscle.
THE PSOAS AFFECTS YOUR INTERNAL ORGANS
Also known as the ‘muscle of the soul/ spier van de ziel’, the psoas is the deepest muscle of the human body, affecting structural balance, muscular integrity, flexibility, strength, range of motion, joint mobility, and organ functioning.
WITHOUT THE PSOAS, YOU COULD NOT STAND
Your psoas is the primary connector between your torso and your legs, affecting posture and helping to stabilize your spine.
Often, our psoas becomes tight as well as weakened and the other muscles around get overused to compensate. Stretching and strengthening this vital muscle and associated tissues will benefit your overall health on a deep physical and emotional level.
A HEALTHY PSOAS IS VITAL FOR EVERYONE
This workshop supports your more vigorous Hot Yoga practice. Also suitable if you do a lot of sports, or run, walk or cycle frequently. So for everyone!
Cost: EUR 25. Your place is reserved via payment at reception or via this link (click on the arrow on right of field with Introduction offer to find this workshop).
